Event Preview
The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet on April 1st, beginning with a pre-meeting discussion at 4:30 PM. The main focus of the meeting will be on several zoning-related proposals that could impact our community, including requests to rezone properties on Coxe Avenue and amend the conditional zoning for a property on Buchanan Place. Additionally, the Commission will consider a request for a special use permit to allow government use at 179 S. Charlotte Street.
The Commission will hold public hearings on all three of these zoning requests, meaning they will be voting to decide whether or not to approve them. Residents who are interested in these potential changes, particularly those living near the affected properties, should plan to attend or submit written comments by 5:00 p.m. on March 31st to [email protected].
Beyond the zoning discussions, the Commission will also handle standard administrative matters like approving minutes from a previous meeting and receiving updates on relevant legislative actions. While the pre-meeting discussion is open to the public, no comments will be accepted at that time.
