Planning Board Meeting

The Burke County Planning Board will meet on February 27th to discuss several important topics impacting our community. The main agenda includes electing board officers and approving past meeting minutes, but the primary focus will be on reviewing proposed changes to our zoning map and a new residential subdivision. These discussions could affect the types of businesses allowed in certain areas and influence future development within Burke County.

A key item for public attention is the consideration of two zoning map amendment requests, which would change properties on NC 18 South and Ashton Drive from residential to general business zoning. The board will also review the "Silverleaf Grove" subdivision proposal, a development that would add 50 residential lots and open space to Connelly Springs.
