Planning Board Meeting

The Burke County Planning Board will meet on July 25th at 5:30 PM to discuss several key items, including zoning changes that could impact local businesses and neighborhoods. A significant portion of the meeting will be dedicated to reviewing two rezoning requests: one concerning a property on US 70 in Connelly Springs, and another involving land on NC-18/US 64 in Morganton. Following presentations and public comments, the Board will vote on these requests, which could alter land use regulations in those areas.

Beyond the rezoning decisions, the Board will also approve minutes from a previous meeting and participate in planning board training led by WPCOG. Please note that the Great Meadows rezoning application will not be discussed at this meeting and has been postponed. Residents interested in providing input on the rezoning requests are encouraged to submit written comments by 5:00 PM on July 23rd.
