Town Hall located at 300 Old Cane Creek Road Fletcher North Carolina, 28732

Event Preview

The Town Council’s upcoming meetings will cover a wide range of topics impacting our community. Discussions are expected on supporting passenger rail service through Western North Carolina, as well as a presentation from Pisgah Legal Services. The Council will also review the Tax Collector’s mid-year report and consider advertising delinquent taxes, a key aspect of local finances. Additionally, the council will explore opportunities for greenway trail expansion through grant funding and discuss potential developers for the Town Center project.

Several important decisions could arise from these discussions, particularly regarding revisions to the town's code of ordinances concerning massage establishments and proposed changes to the contract with Fletcher Fire & Rescue. While this agenda review meeting itself won't involve formal votes, these topics will likely be on the table for action at a later date. Residents interested in local transportation, legal aid services, financial management, or community development are encouraged to follow these discussions.

Mark your calendars for the regular Town Council meetings on February 12th and March 11th, as these are the forums where decisions will be made. Other notable events include a Father-Daughter Dance on February 10th and an annual Shred/Pill Drop event on April 20th. A detailed schedule of events and meeting agendas can be found on the town's website.
