The Town Council will hold two meetings this week, addressing a range of important community matters. On July 3rd, the Council will focus primarily on securing funding to improve walking and biking access with a vote expected on applying for a grant to plan the Ridgecrest Trail Connector. The regular Town Council meeting, scheduled for July 8th, will cover a broader agenda including recognizing Recreation & Parks Month, reviewing financial reports, and addressing safety concerns at 1154 Montreat Road.
Several key decisions will be made during these meetings, most notably a vote on whether to apply for grant funding for the Ridgecrest Trail Connector project. Residents may also be interested in discussions and votes related to appointments on various town advisory boards, including the Active Mobility Commission and Planning Board. Approving a shared parking agreement with Wellspring Direct Primary Care is also on the agenda for July 8th.
For those interested in learning more or providing input, both meetings are open to the public. The July 3rd Special Meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m., while the July 8th Regular Session meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Details on how to attend or view the meetings online can be found on the town's website.
