September 18, 2024, Historic Preservation Commission Agenda Packet

The Black Mountain Historic Preservation Commission will meet on September 18th to discuss and refine the guidelines that shape development within our town's historic districts. A primary focus of this meeting will be reviewing a draft update to the Historic District Design Principles and Standards, which outlines expectations for building design and preservation efforts. This is a significant opportunity to ensure these standards reflect the community's values and effectively protect Black Mountain’s unique historic character.

During the meeting, the Commission will formally approve the agenda and minutes from previous meetings. While no formal votes on design standards are currently scheduled, this meeting represents a crucial step in the review process.
