Event Preview

The upcoming Planning Board meeting on October 27th will primarily focus on reviewing initial plans, called "sketch plans," for two proposed housing developments. One is located off Old Lakey Gap Road, and the other on North Fork Road. The Board will be examining these plans to ensure they align with town regulations and consider potential impacts on the community.

During the meeting, the Board will also formally approve minutes from their previous meeting and discuss a potential future change: exploring whether to combine the Planning Board with another board, the Board of Adjustment, to improve efficiency. While no final decisions will be made on either development project at this meeting, the Board’s feedback is crucial for shaping these projects as they move forward.

Citizens interested in learning more about potential new housing developments or the possibility of changes to local government structure are encouraged to attend the meeting, which begins at 6:00 PM in Town Hall Council Chambers, or view it online through the town's website. Information on accessibility accommodations is also available on the town’s website.
