Event Preview

The upcoming Town Council meetings in March and April will focus on a variety of important topics impacting our community. Discussions are expected around the return of brush and leaf collection services, a potential farmers market (with consideration for locations like Town Hall parking or Bill Moore Community Park), and ongoing recovery efforts related to Tropical Storm Helene. The Council will also continue planning board discussions regarding floodplain ordinance amendments, and review lease agreements for the concession stand.

Several key decisions are on the agenda, including finalizing plans for a farmers market and potentially approving bids for park repair projects. The Council will also be considering guidelines and applications for the farmers market, as well as continuing discussions about fire inspection fees. Residents may be particularly interested in updates on efforts to attract retailers to our town center, and the status of brush collection for storm debris.

Mark your calendars! Regular Town Council meetings are scheduled for March 10th and April 14th, with a Budget Retreat Meeting on March 18th. Be sure to also note the Spring Litter Sweep (April 12-26) and the Spring Shred Event on April 12th. Information regarding SBA loan application deadlines for storm-related assistance is also available, with physical damage applications due March 8th.
